Pulled over on Hwy. 10 to grab pic of the horses getting their morning feed.  Too much snow alongside the highway to spend time getting the perfect picture but it was a magnificent sight!

New Shooting Stars

This photo was taken with my phone because I went to Ottawa today with my camera but had forgotten to put the memory card back in it!  Anyway, we were at the Carleton Ravens basketball game tonight and the Ottawa Shooting Stars had all kinds of kids, parents and coaches there PLUS new uniforms, colours (from black and white to blue and orange!), and a great new logo!  The only reason this is a big deal to me is that I founded this basketball club 20 years ago and it is very gratifying to see it flourishing today.  Go Shooting Stars!

Sound and Light

I had the coolest experience on my walk today.  Passing by flooded, frozen field after field and hearing sharp, cracking sounds.  Another walker explained that it was the ice around the trees and in the fields cracking due to the slightly above zero temperatures and the occasional burst of sun, caught in this pic.



Cold Place on a Cold Day

 

Perhaps not the most uplifting of subjects but it looked quite beautiful from where we parked the car to go for a very brisk walk on a country road.

Snapped this pic of Perth's Studio Theatre as we were leaving rehearsal tonight.  Such a nice little theatre in such a pretty little town.

New Runners!

Despite appearances, this photo is not evidence of some kind of foot fetish (you'll recall the two foot pictures).  These are my new runners: beautiful $129 New Balance, men's size 8-1/2.  They are a thing of beauty and they will contribute to the New Me! Now if only I could run - but those days are behind me.  Walking's good too.

Dog in the Tree

 

Meet Lucky, my second favourite dog in the world (of course dogs are not my favourite creature so being one of my favourites may not be such an amazing accomplishment).  My story about Lucky, the Dog in the Tree, is too long to tell here, but suffice to say he is very smart and loveable and he climbs tress - well, this tree anyway!  Below is a better photo but it was taken last summer and I figure this blog should be current pics.

My gym: "Train and Transform," a transformed horse barn, absolutely gorgeous.  But will it help me create the "New Me!" part of my blog name?  Haha!

Ouch2

Yeah, I'm a little obsessed with my toe seeing as how the bruising has spread up the foot.  Different pic tomorrow, I promise!

Okay, this picture shows a few things: 1.) I need a pedicure, 2.) My toes are pretty damned ugly! and 3.) My poor fourth toe is purple!  I banged it getting out of the shower this morning - toenail bled, toe swelled up - VERY painful.  Poor me :(

Okay, it was bound to happen - I did not get around to putting a photo up yesterday.  So my choice is to obsess about being perfect and give up because I've missed one day OR to carry on and accept that there may be a day here and there when I just can't get to it.  I choose the latter! Above is a picture  I TOOK yesterday: the poinsetta still looking awesome weeks after Christmas.  Good old Costco!
